4 easy marketing steps when launching a dental practice

Building a new dental practice can be overwhelming, and marketing is probably pretty low on your to-do list.

Here's 4 things to consider for growing your customer base, with out spending much money.


Word of mouth -  Your friends and family will probably be mentioning your new endeavor to every one they know. Give them an easy way to share your contact and location with business cards that could have a new-customer discount or free exam included.

Create a simple website - When starting out a small local practice, keep your site simple. You can use a service like WIX.com to easily create a site that has all the basics, like logo, address, and contact info.  From there you can start to add patient reviews, additional services and new employees you bring on.

Local exposure -  To connect with more people in your local community, consider joining your local Chamber of Commerce. You can also connect with similar local professionals like chiropractors and health & wellness providers willing to share your info with their customers. Make sure you have something ready to hand out like a flyer promoting your limited-time-offer, and get people excited about this new opportunity.

Identify your best-customer -  As your practice grows you should start to see a trend in what type of patients you're attracting and which ones end up being repeat customers. Ask them how they found out about you. When you know that, you can do more of it! Maybe it's referrals, and you can give patients an incentive to refer you. Or maybe they saw an ad you placed some where. Learn what type of local demographic your attracting the easiest. Keeping track of what works to promote your practice and to whom, allows you to double-down on those efforts.
